MELBOURNE – The world’s most
liveable city
Melbourne is Australia’s second largest
city with a population of over 3.5 million. It is a genuinely international
city with a vibrant arts scene, a multi-cultural population, cosmopolitan
cafes, restaurants and pubs, and world famous sporting events.
Melbourne is renowned for its culture, fine dining, restaurants,
gardens, and festivals, and was recently voted ‘the world’s
most liveable city’ by The Economist.
The city itself is located amidst parklands along the banks of the
Yarra River, just a few kilometres from Port
Phillip Bay. With
the sea to the south and mountains to the north, and the fine wineries
of the Yarra Valley to the west, Melbourne offers something for everyone.
